Three Quiet Things to Bring When You Don’t Know Where You’re Going (But Want to Go Anyway)

There are days you pack with a plan. And days you pack with a feeling. This is for the second kind.

Here are three things I carry when I know I need to go somewhere — even if I don’t know where that is.

1. A Folded Piece of Paper
Not a map. Not a list. Just… paper.
To write on. To draw on. To wrap a small gift if needed.
To remind me the journey still gets to unfold.

2. A Stone From Somewhere I Left Gently
It doesn’t have to be big.
Just something that once said, “You may go now.” And helps me trust that the next place will say it too.

3. One Thing I Can Give Away
A bracelet. A poem. A wrapped candy.
Something that says, “I was here. I left gently.”

You don’t need to pack certainty. Just presence. And something that makes arrival feel like invitation — not proof.
